Tune into Art! VSA arts of Nevada artists will conduct ongoing children's art workshops. Plan to spend 10 - 15 minutes at each VSA arts of Nevada art creation station where children will be able to craft their own masterpieces to take home. Throughout the year, visit the VSA arts of Nevada website at www.vsanevada.org for some creative alternatives. Thirty art lesson plans for children of all ages are available to download fro free. When you provide your children with opportunities to experiment, discover and express themselves through the arts, either at home or in a classroom setting, you are helping them to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, plus it's a fun way to spend quality time with them! For additional creative opportunities, VSA arts of Nevada conducts affordable open-to-the-public workshops and art camps for children and adults at the Lake Mansion in Reno, Alf Sorensen Center in Sparks and Lazy 5 Regional Park off Pyramid Lake Highway. Scholarships are available for these workshops.
